haha im baccck!
to continue my post on OBS. Too much to post within last night. haha. My previous post was suppppper long. i pasted everything onto word and the word count is like 2349. mad. haha today i woke up at 12+ woke up quite a few times in the night ): haha i think i couldnt get used to the size of my bed. sleep in a tent with 3 other people? not much space. at the most turn left turn right. now come back to my queen, not used to it hahhaa. i was like rolling here rolling there then accidentally hit my sis head. =/ oops haha. then in the morning daddy and mummy woke up earlier and when they wake up they off aircon and open door etc. do all that i cannot sleep properly lor. so woke up and went back to sleep till 1230 around there. haha oh wells.
okayy, gonna continue with Day 4!
DAY 4hmm.. so woke up quite early. This time there weren't any lamp post at all. Sooo, if not for the moon, it'll probably be totally pitch dark. Hard to unpitch tent, so some people just ate breakfast, packed bags and went to pee first. Then when there was enough light we went to unpitch the tents. I didnt have much food left but also not that hungry. Adelia stole my Oreo! >:( zz. Kiah and Liping came after to make sure we finish packing and all that. They were asking us to pick up the rubbish but no one really wanted to move to pick up the tissues everywhere. =/ esp in the drain. So i think they got pissed and thus the first time Kiah raised his voice. So we went to use the entrenching tool to pick up the tissues in the drain and bury it. Haha quite fun to bury the stuff as some people realised. So after that people were snatching to dig holes. Kiah came over and asked 'Dig hole or just throw tissue in plastic bag easier?' Then everyone replied 'Dig hole' hahaa and he just slapped his forehead.
Anyway fast forward. We all gathered around the gate where we got off the triyaks and we played some games for the morning. Oh yea haha there was some funny convo. I was asking around my watch if my shirt tan was obvious. And they were like 'No la, not that obvious. only slight blend.' and i didnt believe so i went 'really? sure anot. very obvious right. Brenda said so last night!" haha then i think aishah said 'Brenda! you lied!?!" hahaha. its quite hard to think Brenda would lie cause shes so soft and gentle.
Anyway i was navigator for the land expedition so i took down the grid points given on the map and plotted the journey of 7.5km. Our last checkpoint was back at camp 2 our first camp. At each checkpoint we were supposed to find a yellow A3 size hammered behind a tree. And do some challenge. So before we began the expedition our group was supposed to successfully throw a small rock continuously 3 times in a row to the person next to you and catch a rock with the same hand. Had to practice quite awhile. Haha but we did it! our group started last but finished first. I didnt realise we threw 3 rounds consecutively. haha i was too focused on catching the rock. Suddenly chloe or someone started screaming and i heard '3 times 3 times!' haha so i got what was happening and started screaming as well.
Okay, so picked up our heavy backpacks and went on our way. To skip a checkpoint, we had to collect/find some stuff. we could cancel 3 in total. 1) 6 different kinds of edible fruit trees & 4 diff kinds of pink flowers . 2) 5 golden web spiders & 30 pieces of trash 3) 16 rubber seeds.
So, before we went we alr found the trash so we were finding spiders. haha the thought of it is pretty gross. who wants to look out for huge spiders.
Haha okay so were looking out while walking. We found our first spider of about the size of a 50 cent coin. woots. haha the web was hugeeee tho. so we were like calling 'kiah kiah! quick come! got spider!' He walked over and then talked about it for awhile. After that he was like 'why you all find so small one. I'll count this as a 0.5 spider. ' hahaha. We were protesting at first but then we let him count small spiders as 0.5 cause we found many haha. Then he pointed up and showed us a spider that was big as our fist!. my goodness so nearby and we didnt see hahaa.
We rested a few times on the way up to our first checkpoint. The second group managed to catch up somewhere along. oh i lead everyone the wrong path for about 30m ): sorry sorry! So we climbed up this small hill and played this game called 'Turn over a new leaf' haha stupid. We were supposed to stand on this ground sheet and turn it over with all of us standing on it. And we did it! woohoo haha. we were like 1,2,3 jump! xD yup so we sat there and ate our lunch. After that we climbed a little higher and reached the top. the highest point in Pulau ubin, 65m. (: so cool. Below was a huge gigantic enormous quarry. Even bigger than the one we bathed in. And it echoes back!! only kiah shouted loud enough for it to echo. haha someone asked if we shouted marco will the echo be 'polo' back hahaa. okay so we shouted in one group Marco! first. and it came back loud and clear. then we shouted polo and it came back the same way (X so so cool. hhee. yyup then we had to find the quotation. In the end we did. but we had to go all the way up abit more, and look down. it was behind some tree. T.T haha. yea so because the path could only fit one person, we were kinda in a line. i was the last at the bottom and i was trying to write the quote down while a few people were saying it out. kiah was standing behind me. As i was writing the last few words i said 'yay done okay lets go' everyone just went quiet and got ready to go. i was still writing but i can write and walk right. haha kiah was standing in front of me blocking myy way. so i was like 'eh move leh!' hahaha he was blocking the whole line.
Anyway because we rested so much at that checkpoint, after that we walked 1km without stopping with our backpacks. so cool la. haha. from that point onwards i got used to the backpack so the weight wasnt much of a problem. from there we walked to our second checkpoint. this time both the watches were behind us. well, the road was..terrible. the place more like. looks like that kind of deserted place where those national geographic ppl do their documentaries at. theres like a rocky road, and everywhere else is just grass. and grass. and a fewwww trees only. madness.
okay second checkpoint was some german girl shrine place. everything was yellow. hoho. i think if i were to go there at night i would be darn freaked out =/ rested quite awhile there before moving on. walkwalkwalk under the hot sun till we finally came under the cool shade of the rubber tree/forest area. yup. Then we put down our bags to collect rubber seeds. haha quite cool. have to look carefully to find the seed. Easier to find the shell, all pop open alr.
after managing to find the 16 seeds we walked till we came to a y intersection. there we passed by the couple that we met earlier on when they were riding through the first parts of the forest. There, they kindly told us that there was a huge black wild boar lying in the middle of the road up ahead. hoho. Hahah so as i led the way, i was busy looking out for the stupid boar, which in the end didnt appear sadly ): but while looking out, i didnt realise i had led the group so far in. haha about 100m more than the checkpoint area.
Anyway, it was super funny la, we were all walking up and down the track, with all the trees on both sides of us. So we were supposed to look for a stupid quotation behind a tree. And that. was very difficult since there are sooooo many trees. But in the end we managed to find it. haha you know why. Cause someone saw a small path cleared up the gentle slope into the trees. And she decided to just try her luck and we really found it T.T hahaa. so stupid can. We were all laughing cause the obs people apparently didnt think to cover up their tracks. Suddenly got one path up. So obvious. xD
From there we walkedwalkedwalked. Looking out for the next checkpoint on the way. However, we look look look until we reached the gates of camp 2!! whee. hahaha. and found the last checkpoint. so we put down our bags and back tracked to find the quotation. Spent quite some time on it but still never find =/ dunno where it went. And i find it so toot that the trainers also dunno where it is haha. okay so then went to play this game. Traffic Jam Game. hurhur. shant elaborate. After that we pitched tents then washed up. And then we went to cook dinner! woohoo. haha Since it was raining very heavily we cooked indoors (: Haha indoors just means sheltered. thats all btw. (; yup, after cooking everything we sat in a circle and named our dishes

oops. just realised thats all i can rmb oopsie. haha when i get the names i shall edit this part.
okayy.since raining so heavily, that night we slept in the MPH. =/ no walls or anything. then me and Adelia was sleeping at the end. we shared a poncho. i only brought a pe shirt to cover myself. Then cause i had no sleeping bag i was so so cold at night ): Can you imagine, wind and rain outside, and i only have pe shirt. ): sniff. My sleeping partner had the luxury of a sleeping bag. I think i should invest in one for future camps hurhur. So, i woke up several times at night, wondering when the morning was going to quickly come. eeps. Haha when i woke up, i saw brenda alr wake up. si tting at one side. so i asked and quickly took over the heavenly comfort of chloe's sleeping bag. waa. haha. so nice.
DAY 5
So after that had breakfast, tidied up tents and packed up stores. everyone was rushing around asking for extra this and that. hoho. in the end we had 3 missing jack knives ): each one 6+ so one person pay like 1.25 haha whatever la. spent a longlong time cleaning up then had the reflections/journal time. Cheryl's shoe was falling appart so she got everyone to sign it. Then charlotte wanted to get this new 'design' too. Then since kiah didnt mind, we wrote stuff on his sandals. hahaha like. 'im hot and sexy' hahhaa etc. Then had some serious time with this guy called vincent. i think. should be.
settled all our admin stuff, received certificate then rushed down to join the rest. bought a white shirt from souvenior shop. Liping made some speeches and stuff. Then. Marco polo and megallon had our performances. =.= in front of everyone. Actually we did it for each other the night before. but then since we were so proud of it we decided to show it to everyone. hahaha but then the night before we were high on our dinner. then this time we were starting to get butterflies and all sorts of crap. and then we were trying to make each other high so we could act properly. hahaha. anyway our short act was something like this:

hahaha. the words sound familiar? Anyway with action it was hilarious la (x After the performance we started to leave, in groups of our classes. Took a bum boat back to punggol jetty and waited for bus. When bus reached school, Mrs Tang welcomed us hohoho. Gave us a letter and some reassurances on the JI leader thing. Then Mrs Neo briefed us on some stuff. yupp.
whooo. end of my obs post. haha. okay ps, this didnt take one day to type out la. haha i got abit sian, so typed this out ovver a few days. wanted to edit and add some stuff into previous post but nevermind la. haha my posts are already super detailed. kinda. (x
oh yes, i just want to declare my bed is the nicest place to stay in the whole day in my house. hhaaha which is what ive been doing these past few days (: Just lie in bed with my laptop, work and food. ahh. hahaa nice(:
